Transportation Achievement Awards

Award categories for projects, programs, and studies are reflective of the five categories identified by the ITE International guidelines.

Complete Streets:

A program, study, or infrastructure project that achieves or facilitates traditional Complete Streets objectives: accommodates all/many modes of transportation, accessibility for all ages, more comfortable environment for all users.

Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO):

A program, study, or infrastructure project that achieves or facilitates traditional TSMO objectives: smoother and more reliable traffic flow, reduced congestion, improved safety, etc.

Any study of a planned transportation project or program.

Traffic Engineering:

An exceptional transportation infrastructure project that creates a safe and efficient movement of people and goods on travel ways.

Winners of each category will receive the ITE San Diego Transportation Achievement Nominee Award in their respective category at our ITE San Diego Holiday Party. These nominees will then compete against other top programs and projects in the ITE Western District and potentially at the ITE International level. This gives ITE San Diego an opportunity to showcase our best transportation projects on an international stage.

In addition to the five project/program/study award categories, the highest scoring applications in all categories also automatically compete for our prestigious ITE San Diego Section awards:
