Dear Colleague, 

The San Diego Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is seeking sponsors for our 2026 activities. This year, we are proud to offer an expanded lineup of technical meetings, community-focused events, and student initiatives designed to support both current and future transportation professionals. Our planned 2026 events include: 

  • In‑Person Section Lunch Meetings (February , May, August, September) 

  • Virtual Section Lunch Meetings (November) 

  • WTS & ITE Joint Lunch Meeting (April | University Club) 

  • SoCal, RSB, and San Diego Joint Section Meeting (March 18th | San Juan Capistrano) 

  • 4th Annual Mini‑Golf Networking Event (May | The Loma Club) 

  • Summer Picnic & 4th Annual Cornhole Tournament (August) 

  • Annual Golf Tournament (September 11th | Twin Oaks Golf Course) 

  • PUSD College & Career Fair (September 15th | Westview High School) 

  • Vendor Show (October 15th | Air & Space Museum) 

  • Holiday & Awards Party (December | Del Mar Social) 

We are excited to continue our Internship Program, now in its second year. In 2025, we interviewed, placed, and funded four students in internships at local transportation firms, where they received hands‑on experience and member mentorship. Combined with our annual scholarships, the Section is committing $9,000 in direct student support in 2026 to help students gain professional experience and advance their education. 

Supporting students remains a priority at every level. In addition to scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing transportation‑related careers, we are expanding our K–12 outreach efforts, including sponsorship of SDCEC Engineers Week and participation in high school college & career fairs to introduce younger students to engineering and transportation careers.  

We are also strengthening our partnership with the SDSU Student Chapter by supporting them in planning their events and activities. The SDSU Chapter is conducting its own sponsorship drive to fund student‑led initiatives and professional development with the Western District Student Chapter awards among their goals for the year.  

With these initiatives, we believe the San Diego Section is well-positioned to be a strong contender for the Western District’s 2027 Section of the Year. Your sponsorship is essential in helping us reach this goal and in continuing to subsidize event costs for our public agency members. 

Attached is our 2026 Sponsorship Package, which outlines the benefits offered at each sponsorship level. We offer flexible payment options to meet your organization’s needs. In addition to visibility at our events, your sponsorship includes marketing exposure through our ongoing email campaigns, website, and social media platforms, collectively reaching more than 500 transportation professionals throughout the San Diego region. 

Please respond by April 30, 2026. Payment may follow afterward as needed. Sponsorships remain active from May 1, 2026 through April 30th 2027, and marketing benefits begin immediately once your package is selected.
